Welcome! My name is Daniele Salvati. I am researcher in the field of Audio and Acoustic Signal Processing. I received the Ph.D. in Multimedia Communication at the University of Udine in 2012 and the Master in Sound Engineering at the Tor Vergata University of Rome in 2006. My doctoral research focused on the acoustic source localization using microphone arrays. I am currently collaborating with the Artificial Vision and Real Time Systems group of the University of Udine (AVIRES), the Intelligent Signal Processing and Circuits group of the Sapienza University of Rome (ISPAC), and the startup company Stretch Tech LLC of New York (ST).

My research activity is concerned on:

- Microphone Arrays: source localization and noise reduction;
- Music Technology: musical interfaces for control and interaction.

At this time I am involved in:

- Source Localization in Wireless Acoustic Sensor Networks;
- Microphone Array Musical Interface;
- Steered Response Power Algorithms in Reverberant Environments;
- Acoustic Source Identification in Large Distributed Microphone Arrays.

I developed innovative computer music software. [Software]
